Favorite CNC stem??

i know its not strictly retro, but i really like thomson stems, although silver ones are probably the worst mistake the company could have made......

From a programming and machining point of view the Machine Tech would be awesome - also rather eye catching to boot

Rather than copy one, design a bespoke one. At the end of the day it'll just be a copy, and the time and effort required to produce a one off will ensure it cost a lot more than any NOS one will ever cost!

The holey X-Lite was cool BITD but the design didn't age well IMO.
Yup, it was beautifully machined and finished, but very heavy for a x-country stem.

Cooks Bro's 'dog bone' is my fave'

..Thomson X2 road stem is the nicest modern MTB stem, I reckon.
(they happily recommend it for x-country use..)

Indeed - the Manitou is superbly elegant and clean to look at. And when you get close you see the detail in it.

I'm awaiting one to come along so i can build a bike around it (excuses excuses!)

Manitou stems

Does anyone have any history on the doug bradbury stem?

it would be great if someone made them again and shorter, maybe thicker in some areas... having cracked one.

I had two of the manitou ones from new........cant remember where they went, but can remember swearing trying to get risers through.....
