Firstly, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. I've done a quick search and couldn't find anything on it so I thought i'd ask the question.....

Where can I find the history of Fat Chance??? The models that they have made, production dates and numbers produced etc.

I've just bought this one off ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %26fvi%3D1

and i'll be looking to get the history on it. Can anyone tell me anything about it?? Literally anything! I'll be restoring it and I wondered if there are specific colours/patterns etc based on the year of the frame, that I should be sticking to. Is this paint original? I know they can have a rust problem. Is there anything else to watch for?

Probably should have asked all this BEFORE purchasing, but I thought it looked a good buy so I jumped in feet first. Nothing new there then!

Cheers in advance!

first of all - congratulations on a great looking bike with a decent spec list !
i think the sit you need is called FatCogs which is a Fat Chance owners group .... you can get all the info you need from these guys

thats a nice price for the full bike! thats team grellow, if stock grellow is pretty rare. then team grellow is rarer still ;)

Where did you get that information that it is ''Team Grellow''??? To my information there is only Grellow ..and a small run is finished with the blue fading

..and Wendyl was not in making things up?

i havent spoken to wendyl in some time. but she was incredibularly open with me in the past & helpful regarding paint schemes, frame numbers & the like. I cant remeber who I got the yo eddy fork off (from switzerland I think). at the time I wanted to get my yo eddy frame (now slims) colour matched to the fork, so i asked wendyl about it. intionally it was meant to be a team only colour, but people liked it so much it was later used on other customer frames as well. I saw my first 1 on the back of a VW (german plate) camper at 1 of the v.early newnham park grundig world cups & loved grellow ever since. FAT did masses of custom paint & variations of what we now consider standard schemes, grellow being just 1 example.
