Well, Jacques and Nico both grew up in Monaco (IIRC Nico was born in Germany and Jacques in Quebec), so it wouldn't be a surprise that they continued to live there, or at least use it as a "home base".

There's a difference, though, surely?

I can quite believe that some, perhaps even most F1 drivers would opt to drive for the best team, regardless of whether that just so happened to pay the most.

Accepting that, though, and I can certainly see the sway, then, of choosing to live somewhere that they get chance to maximise what they earn.

Wonder whether Hamilton would actually take a few million pay cut to race a potentially better car though.
