Excuses for a Sickie , HELP!!!

On Sat have the 4th Annual MacRetro meet at Glentress

At work we are short staffed and one of the lads is away on holiday

3 weeks ago I casually asked one of the managers what the chances would be of getting the weekend off..............

No Danger , was the reply :evil:

So, seeing as I hardly ever take any time off (one weekend so far this year)

Im pulling a Sickie

And I need some sensible and fool proof excuses for when I call in tomorrow morning

Please dont tell me its folk like me that f**k this country up

I deserve a day off, and Im having it!

Usually a family member being ill and kids needing looking after or similar is a good one.

I would agree that it is all in the set up. Start complaining of feeling rough in the afternoon prior to the day you want off. Toilet based illness is also good because it often passes quickly leaving you feeling OK.

Just thought I'd add that despite writing that I have an excellent attendance record at work.
