Only another 5 years and we'll have the JSF though :?
I used to work on the harrier programme, life extension to 2010, pending JSF. The life extension to 2015.

Then they can it- I can't believe it. And our carrriers only now run helicopters as currently they haven't any aircraft.

And they're still not sure what to do on the carrier decks for the JSF- its melting the steel. . Big nozzles, very hot and low, rather than much smaller harrier ones higher up ..

I did some prototype builds on the thrust nozzles for the Boeing version, when they were competing with Lockheed for the contract.
I felt more like a jeweller than an engineer, working with all that gold 8)
