go into a bike shop these days and every bike part is black. stems, bars, groupsets, wheels, forks! i mean look at ringle stuff now....crap. the only things i can think of now that are any bit funky looking are hope calipers does no one make any intresting parts anymore?! i dont get it some of the bikes on this site look a million times better than anything new you can buy now! what the hell is going on! :x

Black is the new....ermm?......black? :?
It's is odd though. BITD I was dead against the 'purple ano' fetish fashion thing. I really thought coloured bits on bikes looked crap and always went for black or silver. (anti fashion! :twisted: )
I was given a pair of riser bars with a red brace, and I had to paint it black before I put it on the bike!
Now I crave gold bling and funky colours............ :roll:

problem for me is that it's all matte black. And usually got awful graphics all over it. Look at FSA. Sack the graphics dept, they manage to make all their products have the appearance of Paul Calf's bedroom wallpaper.
When it comes down to Thomson or Hope being among the pimpiest nicest finishes and designs in stems and posts on offer, you know the salad days are gone.

Oh no, I like the white component thing going on at the mo. Just wish they were a bit more xc'y and less freeridey and i could get some of them.
Those DT wheels in white look so cool.
They'd make my bike remind me of like a Lancia 037 with white OZ racing magnesium wheels. Kind of.
