Is there a worm hole portal back to the golden age of mountain biking in that loft?

 keep an eye on my for sale thread because it might be revealing a couple more of it's secrets

Those tyres will make the ride crap and the Zaskar frame can be particular about the fork length. Too short and it 'tramlines'. A 'spenshun fork or an original GT steel fork always improves the front end.

But, back to 'I had this lying around in the loft' business...?

It's amazing the amount of projects what have been put on the back burner and have ended up there to be forgotten about

As for the tyres i've got a different set to go on these were still on the rims when i was trying ideas out,the P2's are staying though.

Sweet!

There might even be another GT hidden up there,it's a bit big for me though

Re:

For those interested this is the other one i dumped in the loft, number 02910426 which is February 91 batch number 426,the one i'm building is 0291572.

I remember now why it was dumped up in the loft,it was because i was in a huff coz i had failed to notice the elongated hole for the rear mech    the bonus was i had the original elusive very rare 2x4 GT forks which the owner kindly gave me for nowt,i was only picking up the frame :D Shame there to big for anything i've got, they'll be heading to eBay to be auctioned off me thinks or i'm open to offers
So if any of you's has the skills to fix it and resurrect it from a scrap heap (i'm meaning only the frame by the way  ) you can offer me a couple of beer tokens for it and cover the postage or collect it if you like, raspberry cidre's a nice drink this time of year in the sun :D

Re:

Hi , before i commit to another project  may i just ask frame size ( not stamped like later frames ? ) and would you post ( pay pal gift of corse ) .

Re:

Got the Zaskar back today and been doing a couple of little changes to the looks of it. I swapped out the Tioga seatpost for a DX one and my carbon seatclamp arrived today, which i think cleans up the lines around that area. With a normal q/r seatclamp it looked wrong to my eyes. On the project twos i removed the white graphics but kept the Joe Murray stickers same as on the stem, after all he did help design them, now it doesn't shout kona hybrid  after that i've added some new odi attack grips,so far so good :D

Re: Escaped from evil bay.

Very nice indeed. Why did you decide not to run with the 2x4 forks and use the P2's? Better ride or looks?
