Today was the 1st equinox where daytime is as long as night time 8)

went for a dusk ride on the Gulf Kona , left at sunset and returned in the dark all muddy, Nights will get shorter now 8) and the clocks will change on Sunday 8)

Summer is on its way :P

Funny thing, the Equinox-this year March 16th was actually the day that sunlight and dark were equal. Today on the Equinox, there are 6 more minutes of sunlight. It might be because this is a Leap Year, with 29 days in February, but I'm still puzzling over it-anyone got a good explanation?

Equinox is to do with the tilt of the axis of the earth being perpendicular to the sun, equal day and night is called an equilux, this varies depending where on earth you are, but the equinox is the same time world over.
Also Persian new year today. Makes much more sense having new year in spring rather than winter. I believe until a few hundred years ago new year was on march 21st in the western calander.

Clocks change on Saturday too!

Bring on the summer
We got in a night ride on Tuesday and had 11 turnout
It was our last opportunity to ride a trail that uses a few 'non' bridlepath sections we can only ride in the dark.
I expect next week will be half and half in terms of lights ?
Has anyone noticed how brilliant the planets look at the moment Mars particularly. I have heard that soon they will all be visible together in the night sky how true I don't know.

Thought that when Iwas looking at them on Sat night when away camping very bright looking but were I was there was no light pollution and clear sky's. If you have an Andriod phone download sky map for it.
