Inkjet printers are unfortunately a massive rip off and always have been. Inks are overpriced too and some printers now are online to determine whether cartridges are genuine etc. Repair is frustrating and usually not economic, but try ‘rubbing alcohol’ or even vodka to clean the nozzles. With patience and persistence it works. Or buy a laser printer which are now competitive on price and although cartridges are more expensive as a set up cost but need changing rarely, they just go on and on. No probs even with twenty year old B/W Kyocera’s! (many thousands of pages printed later!)
