Eclipse Owner's Club

Dirt Disciple
This is to launch the Eclipse Massive - currently there are two owners on the site of the 1980's BIKE UK brand cycles sold from just by Charing Cross through an Australian, Greg Oxenham, and assembled in the massive undercroft next to Charing Cross by Mick or Rick.
Documentation of any kind - ads, brochures, price lists etc, will help to build the story.
The Eclipse road bikes used very good components and were cheaper than eg Dawes of the time but with some better specs eg Wolber rims.

More later - Join the Eclipse Massive - possibly the most exclusive club in Britain...

Re: EOC

Hi Guy, did you get any response? I might get to purchase a Eclipse Routier in the next week but the lack of information is frustrating cheers Bill.

Mine's also 63cms, a plain 531, really feels too big for me these days. I haven't tried Greg Oxenham I heard he went back to Oz and maybe not involved in bikes? Finding all the Campag gear for a Routier would be quite a costly job.

I've got a group set Campagnolo Athena 8 speed ergo, I know its 4 years to young but it will do nicely. There is an Australian Greg Oxenham comes up on Google and Companies House directors search. I'll drop him a line and see if it's the same guy. Cheers Bill.

Re: Greg Oxenham

Guy, the Greg I found on Google is indeed responsible for the Eclipse Cycles. He's been good enough to reply to me and if he can supply me with the original spec I'm going for it. Did you have any details on the spec? Please see Greg's reply below.

Hello William

Yes I did. I designed and outsourced the build of the bike, indeed I still own one albeit at my home in Australia. How can I help you?

I was the co owner of BIKLE UK with Richard Benn and Rick Dennis. I now live in Cardiff.
