Eccentric bottom bracket. Any one used / fitted one?

Used on my Dawes tandem for the timing chain...came with the bike.

No problems in use, it had two big M6 Allen bolts under the shell to clamp it. My main advice is grease everything massively (eccentric, shell, bolts and bolt heads) with a marine grease. Dismantle and re-grease at least twice a year as it constantly gets muck sloshed up at it and lives a hard life.

Your frame will need to be set up for an eccentric bb shell already, it isn’t retro-fit
Not quite correct these days, Velo Orange make one for 24mm axle cranks. I have no experience with them but the YouTuber “Toasty Rides” seemed to get on well with it.

I have run bikes with the ebb shell and they’re fine. One creaked a bit so I swapped the insert for a niner biocentric 2 and that was flawless.
