A complete vintage Ritchey for $550, isn't that a steal?

not necessarily

the seller took close up photos of areas not that important as to identifying what Ritchey it is.

It looks cool and has good components, but I'd like to know what type of Ritchey is it.

I would say it is a fair deal. It could be an Ultra but it may be an Ascent. I would make an offer for both. $450 max for the Ritchey and $600 for the Goat. If he bites take the good parts from the Ritchey and put them on the Goat. Then you have a highly sought after rare frame with a top end build. Sell off the rest and make half your money back. I live close to this guy so I could save on shipping. If only I had the money.

Another thing though, the other listings he has and the rattle can paint job say "stolen" to me. Maybe not but I would insist on getting the serial numbers prior to sale. That would make it easy to ID the Ritchey here: http://www.oldmountainbikes.com/bikes/

Building up a Mountain Goat with LX parts and that fork is just wrong.

$600 for that goat is way too much. The parts are rubbish and the frame might need help...who knows?
$450 for the Ritchey if it's an Ascent, again, way too much. The parts do help though, as the m730 groupset is one of the best ever :D

I'm not into the flipping. I really wish I didn't have to sell a thing. After these next couple rounds, I don't think I'll be selling anything for a while...grant it, i won't be buying anything either. Just want to build and ride.

Yeah it would only be a decent deal for me because I could pick it up. I would only sell the LX parts. Its not really a flip just a way to get a cool frame with a good build. Only problem is that I have problems letting things go. I don't think I could sell a Ritchey.
