Ebay problem help needed

Send them an invoice for the amount inc UK shipping and when they can't supply a confirmed UK address for shipping they break the terms of paypal agreement and you can refund and cancel the transaction quite quickly and they are in the wrong.

Carl.

Can't you cancel the sale this end?.

What would happen if you'd accidently damaged it whilst packing it or it was stolen from your car before you got to the post office?.

If you stated on your add no overseas then you shouldn't have to deal with him and ebay is not a legally binding contract anyway.

Sending an invoice is only going to make matters worse in my opinion as you're going along with the sale.

Have you sent them an invoice yet? if not then as suggested calculate the postage correctly to AUS then send the invoice showing the correct cost and again as suggested the cost should frighten him, he will refuse to pay, you then take it again to problem centre for no payment

When this has happened sometimes they leave a negative. I have pointed this out to ebay in the past when this has happened and they have removed the negative from a non paying bidder.

and yes on your sale settings you can block non uk bidders.

Do you know for certain that he is/wants shipping to Aus ? and that's not just where his/her location is set ?

Could well be over here on holiday, Uni, 2nd home....

Reply from Ebay-
Hello Andrew,

Thank you for writing back to us with your concern about the Final Value Fee not being credited to your account for item number .

I've checked your account and found that the buyer of your above listing has declined your request to cancel this transaction. The seller usually doesn't receive a Final Value Fee credit in such cases. However, I' have issued a credit of your final value fee to your eBay seller account for the above item. Please be sure to review the information I have provided for you below regarding how to prevent this from happening again.

You can see this credit for yourself in My eBay:

1. Go to My eBay > Account > Seller Account.

2. Click 'credits' under My Seller Account Summary.

Top tip: you can sort your account activity by date, fee type or item number.

Here are some guidelines for protecting your Final Value Fee in the future:

- If you're having a problem with a buyer, we recommend you contact the buyer directly. Often, that's the simplest way to resolve issues. To get your buyer's contact information, go to:

Here's how to request the buyer's contact details:

1. Click 'Advanced Search' at the top of the eBay homepage.

2. Click 'Find Contact Information' on the left-hand side of the page.

3. Enter the User ID of the buyer and item number for the relevant sell. You can find the item number in My eBay. Click 'Search'.

- If you need to cancel the transaction for your own reasons, contact the buyer first to give them a heads up, and then open a case in our Resolution Center, specifying "I want to cancel a transaction." under "I sold an item" heading. If the buyer agrees to the cancellation, you'll get the Final Value Fee credit and there will be no action against the buyer's account.

- If a buyer doesn't pay, you can open an unpaid item case in our Resolution Center and select "I haven't received my payment yet." under "I sold an item" heading. That will start the resolution process. If you can't resolve the issue, you'll receive a credit for your Final Value Fee, and the buyer may receive an unpaid item strike. You'll find more information about the unpaid item process here:

I trust this information is helpful. If you have any more queries and concerns, please reply to this e-mail. I would be glad to assist you.

Kind Regards,

Rachel Nelson,

OK if he withdraws but thats not happening as he has already declined.
Are they meaning i put the reason as non paying despite him asking for an invoice :?
Seems theyve taken on board only part of what ive asked
Can someone decipher this and give me the low down version :?

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
It appears they have refunded you the final value credits and you can see this by going to your accounts overview. The rest is generalisation about what to do in future if it happens again and how to avoid it.

Definately take up FMJ's direction of adjusting your sales settings to uk only and highlight this at the top of any advert. For now I would not send a invoice given ebays actions.

If you do decide to send an invoice do so with the correct aus postage then when he doesn't pay within 7 days? you should be able to relist due to a non paying bidder?

Won't help your shock fund immediately but just delay it a bit

Cheers but there is little point sending an invoice as that is what im trying to avoid doing. To send it would acknowledge the sale is going through and if he pays then i have to send.Crazy
And their email to me is basically stating that it can happen again and my only option is to ask the buyer to cancel.Which is in the position im now in  This shit is just going round covering the same ground :?

The fact he wont cancel means he is fully aware that this is causing an issue for me but is choosing to because his motive has to be other than honest.
Then if things go wrong which they will, or he would have happily accepted my wishing to cancel it.I could be left without money of item :? Correct ? :?
