Ive a down jacket on ebay at the moment and its listed as UK only posting
Buyer from Australia has just bought it and is requesting the invoice

Not a chance of me sending it as its just too far away for any problems to be resolved especially if its over condition or damage while in the system, not easy to check things out.
I cant see how the buyer could miss the UK only bit so am now concerned the motive was other.
Ive sent off ebay an email[via a different question as they dont like hearing bad things so make it incredibly difficult to contact them over a specific subject :x
From reading a few posts online its not an easy thing to cancel the sale and youve got to rely on the buyer agreeing to everything.
What a complete wnkr :x

The sale was going to fund the new Risse shock for the tazmon and i was pretty sure id have been ordering it this week but now it could drag on for several weeks
I sure havent any nice thoughts going on in my head over this guy
It's all red with lots of screaming

Chances are the idiot just didn't read the full advert, this is happening more and more on ebay.

If you had multiple bidders and the second highest bidder is close I would email them and say, just seeing if your are still interested as the winning bidder is(name the twat) and is in australia so likely to bale.

I've done this a few times and by naming the idiot the second highest can see it's genuine rather than a friend bumping it up.

You can open a dispute and request them to agree to cancel, then if they don't agree you have to wait it out until it the time period is up.

What a bummer.

+1, but I wouldn't use the 2nd bidder's highest bid price. Normally he would have had it for the 3rd highest bid + £1, so that would be my offer.
True, you lose a little money, but it also shows the 2nd highest bidder that you aren't trying to con him.

This has happened to me before. I price up the most expensive shipping costs, so airmail, fully insured and signed for with lots and lots of packaging.

For a parcel to Australia it may well come out as costing more than the jacket, the buyer then usually backs away from the deal.

Then use Raging Bulls suggestion to sell it to the next in line.

It was a buy it now sale. There is no 2nd bidder
Im just out of ebay and i sent the guy a request to cancel the sale.He has declined to close it and is still asking for an invoice
The buyer, dangerzap, has rejected your request to cancel the transaction for (#****************) . As a result, you will not receive a Final Value Fee credit for this transaction. Please complete this transaction with the buyer.

brilliant eh?
Well he can truly away and fk himself because i wont be sending it so thats that.

Wonder if i change the postage to $1000,would that sort this out? Then he is stuck with an invoice for a lot that he either pays[Unlikely] or receives an unpaid strike against him :?
Possible solution there :? what do you think?

what a mess. Send him an invoice. Perhaps it will 'dawn' on him that he has been a cock. But can't be certain of that

What a mess.

I can't believe that Ebay are enforcing this if you made it clear that this is a UK only sale.

You can't go stupid on the post or that will also upset ebay. However charge him for a personal courier i.e. you - the only way you will send it!

This f*cking infuriates me! I always clearly put in my auctions DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE UK, yet people still do and like you say they never want to pay the full postage and eBay take forever to sort it.

Surely by default if your auction is UK only they should be unable to bid.
