on mtb-news.de a pair of these was sold for big money just recently. was already wondering but this auction is just weird!
Dear god, I have 4 sets of these NOS, another 2 sets of the threaded ones and upteen insert pads still in their packet. I was going to fit them to my bikes but every time I pull the brake levers I'll be going '..that's $5 gone...', '....and another $5.....'

I'm a sicko. I love getting bling boutique gear and whacking the sh1t out of it. I've ground down two n.o.s. XT thumbies ( which don't last as long as DX ones ), turned a SRP 8 speed cassette to poo and absolutely funtered a White Industries BB. My point is; it was the best to be used the hardest and they felt great to use.
