Sylus...I have had neg. feedback removed from my account, also had the seller booted off Ebay. It can be done but sometimes you have to persist with Ebay.

Thanks for the heads up Harry

It's never happened to me before so I wasn't sure, anyhow non paying bidder case filed and closed, neg removed and bidder? Not sure yet but a result for me ... Back to 100%

I call bullshit, if the threads were stripped the old Derailleur would not of come off without inserting something large to exert pressure between the derailleur and frame and he would of notified you before pulling a Gumby.

Karma?

Well as I type this I'm sure it'll all go wrong...

But: I haven't heard a peep back from this bloke since I said, "Nope, open a dispute through EBay..." I sent him the links to the repair suggestions and re-iterated the partial refund offer: not a dickie bird

Same week, I also sold a UK Merlin which I bought for £50 went for £180 :-D cash on collect

I think that this has happened cos I gave away a bike for Karma on here. I now have Karma Armour. How long will it last?

Sound like you called his bluff and he can't back it up. I thought i had someone try this on with a phone I sold recently, turns out he was a techno tard and shouldn't have bought the phone in the first place as I even ended up supporting it as well.
Last bike i bought was the pathfinder and that came misdescribed with a broken rear axle and stripped top nut on the headset, i never bothered complaining as it wasn;t worth it for the £8 it cost me to put it right.

Carl.

Best of luck hydorah - I've actually been quite surprised by eBay finding in my favour when I've had to deal with idiots.

My favourite was when I sold an old Apple laptop. It went for a surprisingly high amount, I posted it out by Special Delivery, the buyer left me feedback a couple of days later saying it was excellent and everything was perfect with the transaction. She then contacted me two weeks later through eBay along the lines of "I have since tried to sell the laptop on and have found out that it's not really worth what I paid for it. I want to send it back and have a refund. If you don't agree to this I'll tell eBay that it didn't arrive and you'll have to refund me anyway."

When I sent a short, but polite, answer telling her that a) she'd already left positive feedback so that might be difficult, b) Special Delivery is insured and traceable and recognised by eBay, and c) the whole point of eBay is people pay what they think the item is worth, I didn't hear from her again...

The tracking and signature aside, you now also have an email from her stating her bad intentions.

Now send her an email saying your thinking of turning over all this evidence to the police, blackmail is a crime

I'll say! That is publishable quality stupidity! Especially sending the threat to you in a timestamped, documented form!

Wow! the best stoopid I've heard for a while!

If the bike was sold complete, then anything he changes and any damages incurred doing said changes is his call. You can't really claim a warranty by modding a product from the store can you?

Had similar experiences in the past but none have ever come to anything - chancers every time.

Last case was a large Coleman family tent I sold. Buyer came back to me 3 weeks after taking delivery and said a pole was broken. I confirmed that there was indeed a broken pole but also a replacement one courtesy of Coleman (as I had stated in my listing) and I had only left the broken one in out of honesty so he would know why one pole was a different colour.

A week later he comes back again. Says there's a rip in the flysheet and asks "what are we going to do about that then?". I told him there was no rip when I posted it and told him to send me a photo.

Never heard from him again.

Don't give a millimetre, sorry, inch to these t*ssers!
