I was following a XT mech on ebay which finished today.
I emailed the seller near the beginning or the week to see if he would sell early as I really wanted it for this weekend and he came up with a high price (as you would expect I guess)
I decided to leave it and bid normally and having just checked I won the auction for far less than that price, in fact less than they usually go for. Good result..... or so I thought.....
I have now received a cancel transaction notice with no personal message/explaination, just a standard heading that the seller cant find the item.
Now I find it rather odd that the seller didn't even bother with an apologetic message and can't help feeling a bit suspicious. After all it was there a week ago when he took a pic for the auction and most people would keep things aside when selling.
How would you guys deal with this? I know that it's annoying when something sells for less than normal but thats why you have start prices and auction reserves.... am I right to be suspicious about this?
How would you guys deal with it?
