Early RockShox question

Hi, Been sorting out some worn gears on a GT Richter for a friend, my expertise is road bikes, but no problem with gears or most of a retro MTB.
However never really took an interest in suss forks coz my AlpineStars AL Mega doesn't have them.
The GT has some early 1" Rockshocks, which are air filled. I can't see any markings on them so can't tell which model they are. They have magnesium lowers, but that all that I can tell you.

I've stuck a bit of air into them, but is there anything else that I can do easily as they are still a bit clunky and don't give a very good feel on braking.

cheers.

a pic will help,as there where more models with magnesium legs

if they where real early i would say a mag 21, as the rs1 didn't had magnesium legs, and the qaudra series wasn't air sprung.

grtz, danny

Sounds like a '92 Richter - does it look like this?

If it is then the forks are probably Mag 20's, you can see a few photos of them in this thread: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... 65f569afca

Thanks perhaps Mag20 or Mag21. Not too bothered what they are as I expect any general way to improve them would work on either model.
