Nope, Not once and I'm not trying raise anything, other than awareness that this frameset is available should someone be interested......

Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful frame and one of my favourite forks. The frame has had some great reviews too and hopefully it will sell soon and im sure the new owner will be more than happy with it.

A nos part fitted to a nos bike is still nos. It doesnt suddenly become used when it hasnt been.

This is the difference between NOS and unused.

Unused doesn’t mean NOS. A product unused, still in its original packaging and as it would be presented in a shop is New Old Stock, a NOS product removed from its packaging and fitted to a bike is no longer as it would be presented in a shop and so is no longer NOS.

If I took a NOS chain, removed it from its packet, cut it to the right length and fitted it to a bike it’s no longer NOS despite the fact that I’ve not used it, it’s now just unused. Same with all other parts.

A frame fitted with NOS parts means that neither the frame nor the parts are NOS any longer, they are just unused.

In terms of desirability NOS is above unused which is above used - I know it’s a whole pile of semantics but the differences are fairly clear.

Agree with Pete. And nos doesn’t describe condition. A nos part could easily have scratches and scrapes from storage.

What about a NOS bike, still in the box? I think that can be fairly described as NOS.

In its box, or out of its box, to me it just needs to be in the condition it was presented in a shop. Funny thing is if I took a NOS team Marin frame and fitted a NOS XT group the result would be an unused bike but not a NOS one, however if I bought a Team Marin from a shop, left it as was and didn’t use it then it would still be NOS. Semantics and pedantry at its finest

Any way back to the bike....

a monocoque frame mated with a URT back end off an X1

Yeah, interesting point in the evolution of Orange full-sus.
It's true you don't see too many of these around, may be a reason why.

Sadly not ugly enough to make you look twice in a WTF kinda a way .... like an X1 / P7 cut and shut  And not glamorous enough to turn heads either , It’s sort of lost in the middle being neither one thing or the other, rather like a veggie sausage or Alcohol free beer..... compromised

It is however the missing link between the X1 and the millennial monocoque Orange range.

Haha, That's certinly an odd yet interesting analogy, however one that made me chuckle none the less..... I'm sure that's exactly what Andy was going for when he designed it
