Early Muddy Fox Courier - for the brave

I looked at this .... Tempted to have something really early for the bike collection see what this thumbies and cantis is all about :D Wouldnt know where to start with it mind .... Groupsets, wheels etc ?!?!?

great stuff ... his email address is his work one so "out of office to 5th of Jan"

Can someone tell me if the bike is actually worth restoring ... I dont mean value wise... You always pee money away restoring things ... More thinking of the bike itself? Is it a nice bike to ride ? Good example of early mountain biking?

Opinions please? :?

This was quite an important bike in the history of mountain bikes, and if it's like it says in the listing, it's tiny for a bike of its age, which I guess makes it quite rare.
Their catalogues from around then say the frame's size should be about an inch smaller than the right size touring bike, and remember this was before compact frames.
I love bikes of this age, not so quick but very stable and fun to ride. I'd much rather ride along on one of these than crunch my maggot-like body down over some modern XC rubbish.
