Early (1st generation?) Hope Disc Brakes. 180/160mm rotors. Front caliper is a No.3 (fits Marzocchi Bombers), rear caliper is No.2 (fits GT LTS with bracket supplied). Rotors are 5-bolt and mount to Hope hubs using a spider (not supplied)

The brakes will more than likely fit other frames/forks, but I'm using the ones above as an example as that's what they came fitted to.

The rear brake does not require a disc mount, as it mounts to the rear wheel axle, and the silver bracket attaches around the seat stay.

I would suggest that the brakes are bled and serviced before use although they appear to work perfectly fine.

It's payday today (for a lot of people) - go on, treat yourself ;)

£30 an end for a nice set of disc brakes has to be worth a punt?!

Bump :)

Nice! Was very tempted until I realised my Judy dh doesn't have a disc mount. =(
How bad do you need hadley hubs? As soon as I find an xt replacement, I'll have a front hadley going spare. 20mm thru though...

I'm actually selling the frame that I'd planned to use the hubs on, so I don't really need a set any more, although I'll keep them on my wanted list as I'd like to build up another GT as soon as funds allow! I'd need QR though.

Groovy brakes!
Almost makes me wish I had a bike to put them on..

Well, you don't need a disc mount for the rear brake as it has a bracket, and mounts to the rear axle. So all you'd need would be a willing set of forks ;)

Does the rear bracket swivel? I mean could it be fitted to a frame with a more horizontal seat stay angle than an lts?
Or could the caliper be rotated 30 degrees or so?
