I don't know if you were the same, but what got me into MTBing was reading the Zoom sections of MBUK and Mountain Biker. I saw a video at the local bike shop showing the 1989 Mountain Bike Club UK champs (which I bought and still own
) and I was hooked.
Such Teams as Team Peugeot, Schmoos, Fisher, Ridgeback Cycleland dominated the scene.
Who were your favourites?
Mine were, Tim Gould, Tim Davies and Paul Hinton...
