I would like to offer it a home as my good lady wife looked over my shoulder as i was reading this and said:
'That's nice, that yellow would almost match a coat I have just seen, don't know about the rest of it though'
Oh dear, can I nominate Mrs Maverick please. :?

I would like it to keep my GT company but alas I fear it is a bit too small for me. Although it may be the right size for Mrs Logical. But she is 5 months pregnant and not in the right shape for a new bike.

Hi,

if i may also trow my hat into the mix.

I'd like to build it up as retro/modern.
Using Deore kit, V's, 9 speed, hollowech II.
Trimming with X-lite, USE and a Flite.

The main and only reason is i'm hooked after seeing Jimbog's Diablo DX.
I wasnt quick enough on ebay for one so trying this route.

To make space i would have to karma a pair of 95 Judy XC's if i won.
No way is that meant as a bribe but . . . . .

cheers 8)

Loving the blatant bribes, but you're still missing the point - it's not Kurt's decision! I don't know if his good lady rides retro and would appreciate an old pair of Judys!

Mrs B gave me a beautiful daughter 6 weeks ago, I'd love to give her a little token of my thanks and this could be the basis for that, much better than a halfrauds special...

Looks about her size too ;)

I just hope Mrs Racin' snake isn't a dog person...

Here's why I'd like the Diablo

Many years ago my little brother was involved in a terrible accident and was hospitalised for about two weeks. The week before the accident Tim had been given a Diablo for his birthday. We were both madly in love with all things mountain biking and we were competing to do a proper wheelie, I'd just learnt how to use the back brake to control things and could wheelie his Diablo about 30metres. I told Tim about this whilst he was in hospital and he said he wanted to see it.

I decided to cycle to the hospital to show my skills to my younger brother. I left the bike outside and went in to find Tim, he was in a wheel chair but was fit enough to be taken to the front doors to watch me. As we got to the hospital doors we saw a bloke riding off on Tim's Diablo. I hadn't taken a lock with me and when I got to the hospital had just leant the bike against a wall. As we watched the bloke pedal off, there was a slim glimmer of hope, the thief was wearing a shell suit, which was really baggy but had tight elasticated ankles. As he turned left, the satin fabric was hooked by the chain, a tooth caught hold and soon the polyester monstrosity was dragged into the chainring. "Look" said Tim "It's pulling his leg" Just like I'm pulling yours now !
