Help Needed,

ShockedHi ,Im kinda new to this,so im not sure if im posting the right question in the right section.
I have just bought a dynatech ti[model unknown as yet]on ebay,
i've been reading other postings on a flaw some of these bikes suffered ,namely the tubes becoming 'unglued',
as this frame is about 15 or so yrs old i guessing if it was going to break it would have done so by now.
Can any of your regular posters help out with any info on original specs, the guy selling it said it last had suspension, but i dont think [looking at the headtube]it was designed with a sus fork in mind,im intending on putting a pace rigid on the front ,middleburn or cook bros crankset (?any 1 got 1?)and older xtr for the rest
So can anyone tell me the what the original kit was on her[ill be calling the bike 'her' from know on as bikes are a labour of love .
questions-
What did she cost new?, did she have special or top end XT,XTR kit?,were her brakes shimano or another brand?, what size rear dropouts/will modern hubs fit? what size is the bb shell and what length axle do i need?[and do Royce make one] questions needing answers
I'm intending to strip the frame then spray the cromo rear tubes and the lugs in a high gloss AC lacquer air brush graphics over that,i got access to all the gear needed [along the lines of jacks in the green ,the green man, something Druid-ish maybe but im not sure yet] leaving the titanium tubes bare maybe polished
I like the look of those ringle ti-stix on at the mo on ebay but theyre damn pricey, if they pass their starting bid by a penny more, i out ,but we;ll see.
I just sold my Clockwork on ebay javascript:emoticon('')
Crying or Very sad ,dont honestly know why now, needed a change i suppose, but its not worth selling them really ,you put so much in then get offered a pitance for your trouble,so im looking for good news and some nice pics of your loves or if any of you have an original price guide pic of the dynatech or one you've restored yourself,
Many Many Thanks.

I had an MT-4 frame once. It was ludicrously flexible (I could bounce the ends of the cranks off the chainstays by pedalling hard) and then it bent. And came unglued ;-)

Mine was the frame-only model (grey Ti tubes, slightly metalflakey black head lug/rear end). Can't remember much about spec - mine came with a 753 straight-bladed rigid fork, but the contemporary Quantum full bike had a Mag 30 on it, I think.

Thanks your helping a lot,but i expected more answers from the forum, them being the retro bike info brigade,so heres a pic to help,i emailed Raleigh but they werent for looking through the archives, and couldnt help much
Come on you lot ,wheres this depth of knowledge i keep hearing about

Well i don't have any information on Raleigh (too many rubbish ones as a bairn for me to consider buying one, even a high end jobbie), but your frame sir is a beauty.

Build it up and thrash it ;)

Thanks,

I'm getting too many horror stories that make me think ,a nice single speed gad about would be the way to go.
A good excuse(not that 1 is needed) to build an offroad bike....now ..I...wonder?

Well it usually helps when buying something, anything, to know it's flaws it helps you decide
