Really happy with how it has turned out- it's as good a finish as I think can be had on a 20 year old bike. I need to decide whether to lacquer it (or rather whether I can talk a mate into it) and add stickers or not. I like it as is, but also like the old black and orange decals... I'm I'm no rush to decide that.

Otherwise the only thing that annoys me on this is a slight tear to the seat- will attempt to do the shoe goo trick in due course! So, after RIP-ing the old nickel frame I finally have my P7 with Pace RC35's... All is right in the world once again!

Next step will be deciding whether this will be my perfect P7 in the longer term or someone else's- I'm going to enjoy it for a while before making any decisions there...

Oh and if you are inclined see if you can spot the subtle colour scheme- the green is the hard part!

Full line up:

Orange P7 (RS)
Pace rc35 forks
Dean stem
Orange hot rod bars
X-lite stubby bar ends
Orange Friction addiction grips
Orange saddle
USE seatpost

LX 3x8 shifters
STX RC levers and V-brakes
STX-RC crankset
XT front mech
XT rear mech

XT hubs with Fir mt32 rims
Michelin Country Mud tyres

Wow! the light reflecting off the frame is terrible is and the only green i can make out is the crud catcher but overall i'm loving the P7 and the parts choice as the STX isn't to shabby and fairly robust and of course the XT always looks good but whats the weight of the bars like as i've known quite a few members use them so they must be lightish and those tyres look okay but i've never come across them before ..

Any way other than the pic being rather bright the P7 is looking great and i'd love a quick spin round the block on it ..

Not sure on the bar weight- front end isn't noticeably heavy so assume they fine. The lettering has worn on these so if I wanted it to be perfect I'd search for some more... I'm going to live with that one!

No i can't make out the subtle green on the brake mount spacers and floor tiles don't count as their not part of the P7 ..

Well obviously the bar weight can't be that heavy then although in saying that the forks will be the main weight on the front of the bike so that will make it impossible to judge the bar weight while fitted any way ..

I'd not worry about the lettering being worn as that's just part of their character ..

Ha, green dust caps also on the way! Yes on the bars: there's only so much I can obsess over! That said I am starting to think decals might be the way to go, although I'm not sure whether to put the correct ones on or the two tone ones. If at all...

Green dust caps Yummy ;) as for the Hot Rods well i'm not sure about two tone decals although i guess it depends on what colours you choose and yes i've got a saddle that needs some tlc too but it's the sides on mine where the covering has come away ..

Well i'd let the frame weather for a bit then give it a clean up but no polishing then orange and then fit orange and black decals then clear coat well that's what i'd do ..

Any how i'm just pleased that your happy with the P7 after all this time and i can't wait for your final update after you've taken it out for a proper ride ..
