I am now the delighted owner of a Frem Rojle table and chair set as designed by Hans Olsen thanks to freecycle:

I now just have to research how to restore it as mine isn't quite as minty, well it was free so it's not as if I can grumble

i never bother with freecycle as i always forget my yahoo thing as i never use yahoo :evil:

sand it down and stain ...apply laquer with a smooth cotten bound sponge...reduce with alchohol ,sand with a very fine grit gently and reapply laquer again...do this a few times and your sorted.

Yeah Freecycle is brilliant, I am saving myself tonnes of time and hassle getting rid of things. Instead of having to make trips to the recycling centre people come and collect! Awesome.

Restore, refinish, whatever.

It's got to start with getting rid of the awful varnish that someone's slathered over the table top. Luckily the rest of the table and chairs are unmolested. The chairs just need recovering once I've found a retro enough fabric.

when you restore you never remove the marks or dents ...its like polishing an antique brass statue...dont do it..
