I am sure in that extreme scenario most of us would be prepared to act.
Not sure it is really necessary to disparage other people's feelings about animals in the way your are doing Fluffy.
Yes, they are just animals. So are you.
I would have no hesitation taking whatever action was necessary to protect my animals from other animals.
This was not a thread about people feelings towards dogs or animals, why should people who are not bothered and do not care about dogs side step their thoughts.
Many around the world eat dog, it's a good source of meat as are many animals.
If you wish to waste money looking after a few then do so, that is up to you, but why waste money looking after some unloved dogs*. Rescue centres are always moaning about not being able to afford and look after moor dogs. I gave a solution that makes room and solves the cash flow problem.
If dogs are so loved by everyone, first everyone would have a dog, look after it forever.
Lots of people don't have dogs, lots of people do not care about dogs and as seen even people that think they love dogs don't and abondon the buggers.
If dog lovers stop thinking everyone loves dogs people would get on a bit better.
Also I'm not saying we go out and shoot animals just for the sake of it, this is more like culling.
People go out game shooting, seem quite happy with the idea of culling and then eating the kill.
No difference.
Only some obscure Western idea that a dog has status over other animals, probably came about as it was a useful tool to go and kill other animals.
Other countries happily just eat dog.
*I waste money on unloved bikes it could be said, but I don't cry about all the bikes getting crushed and recycled.
