Does every man cave have a singlespeeder?

I think the singlesped thing is very Marmite, you need to try it a least once though.

There are PLENTY of things I havent tried......and NEVER intend to!

Got two rigid ss bikes with another two in bits, I ride ss 99% of the time. Did the Hell of the North Cotswolds this year and there were a few single speeders there.

If you stick with it it will improve your hill climbing, it forces you to improve, if you cave in try a different ratio next time and unless you want to pedal like a whirling dervish on the flats you can have a natter with your cycling buddies instead. You can still go at a fair ish pace whilst taking in the scenery.

Been doing it for a few years now and love it.

New to me but got 3 in the fleet now
(out of 5.5), always had a bmx though for starters but stripped some weight off my MTBMX modern Identiti, yet to try it offroad feels better urban at least, and now my road commuter, its flat here but i'm really getting the bug and finding cable guides ugly! :?

*grabs grinder*

5 bikes in the cave's 1 of which is SS but will never go off road as its more of a round town errand bike that looks pretty...

SS is excellent super silent with no chain clatter or clunking gears, Fit some maguras for good stopping power and you cant go far wrong for just bombing about on in town 8)
