Do you remember the Ronde Anglia?

Afternoon,

i'm sitting here reminiscing to myself about having cycled over to Halstead in Essex as a youth in the mid 80's (84/85?) to watch the race speed through the town centre.
There's precious little info about the race and it's history on the interweb (as far as i can tell anyway!) and wondered if anyone here could point me in the direction of any interesting articles, histories etc?.
