Got a set but theyre in dire need of a major rebuild/service.
the LBS has offered to do it for £25 each asnd i dont doubt theyll do a good service, only if hope were to do them then they would refurbish like new

Im not sure if they do a service or whether their tech department is only for warranty returns
Anybody know for sure or have had their brakes serviced by them, then speak up :D
Cheers
I've ordered 2 sets of calliper rebuild kits[a handful of seals  ]
And im looking for the pro lever rebuild kit, this is a better kit not just seals, you get all the mechanical parts.
I was thinking of doing at least the front myself,if the worst happens and i reach a roadblock,i can always then go to the LBS,but even if its no problem id still have to get them bled as i dont have a bleed kit :(

I read a blog where the bloke had his sports/c2 serviced a year or 2 ago . He rides 40+ off road miles a day and still used them as they were the most durable . Might have changed to something newer since though .

I think they will still do it but they say " hey , its cool that you are still using them but maybe consider some new ones "

I suppose that it will cost me about £160 to fully refurbish them[inc their cost+postage]

Which seems quite high when you consider that on CRC a 2010 white pair of juicy 3's for £99 and many of the hayes are the same,in fact a new set of basic hayes will cost you under £70

But i dont think they will last the pace.
Its just the fact these other modern ones are dropping fast in price that leads me to think that they have a short design life.
And they keep changing the design[faults showing up :? ]

My old c2's lasted me 8yrs with only one fluid change and when i sold them they were still working perfectly.
I think after i service these, they will still be going strong after 10yrs of use, easy.

I might just stock up on some rebuild and seals kits
