DIY Manitou II rebound damper...

interesting comments so far, which really helped me with my descision. I realised I am one of those (nerdy...) guys who takes their fork pump on rides to fine tune their forks. And I love getting the most out of retro stuff.
When I first (re-)entered the world of Retro, my mates didn't understand why I spend time/money to get the most of my canti's if you can buy v-brakes. As I intent to race the bike I'm using the Manitou fork for, I really want to get the most out of it. Now I'm thinking, maybee I should have bought a Judy, and fit some springs in there. That will probably my next fork, and the Manitou will go to (yet) another bike... Keeps me busy

I must get my arse in gear and finish my 100mm travel Manitou 2 so I can get the pix up on here for some 'good-natured' berating!

I have used a trimmed rubber anti shake rubber that comes with any new washing machine. Still have a spare one somewhere.

did you use it with springs as an anti-clunk noise device?
