Displaying photos

Excuse my ignorance, but may I ask how you display photos on here? When I do it by using the attachment instructions, the photos are displayed in boxes, in reverse order to the order they were attached and following all text. But the wise manage to display photos in between bits of text and without the boxes. How is that done?

you need to host the photo on photobucket or similar, get the address for that photo and insert it between {img} and {/img} except use [] instead of {}. When you post there is a button you can use that inserts the

Thanks for that, but does it mean that you can't do it unless you use photobucket etc?

well there are other sites out there, but essentially the photo needs to be hosted somewhere. Personally I use imageshack as you don't have to register or anything you just upload and use the link they provide to the photo.

You can load photos into your gallery from your own drives on your pc. You can then use the g2Img function to display them.

I park my photos on my own ISP host and put the url between the html "image" commands.

I didn't realize you could get around the 250k limit on attached images by first loading them into the gallery. Good to know.
