Disc brake adapter (A2Z?) for STS - SORTED (£20 @ Wiggle)

I bought one of the eBay adaptors a while back, to allow me to run discs on my STS, but it doesn't seem to be the correct fit (adapter doesn't sit flush with the frame and caliper sits about 5mm 'offline').

So I would like to try another version of adapter. The first that comes to mind is the A2Z. Not the prettiest IMO, but I care less about that than not being able to ride my bike!

So...anyone got one for sale?

I bought one of those too, haven't tried it yet but now worried it won't fit. There were a couple of versions if memory serves, which one did you get?

The one I got was as the pic. Item number on eBay was 151317270446. I see the seller has listed a few other adapters with a slightly different fixing plate. Never tried those so couldn't comment. However, when I fix mine to my frame, the curved bevel which you can see in the pic (just above the bottom screw holes) fouls against the top edge of my dropout, preventing the adapter from sitting perfectly flush against the dropout by a couple of mm. In addition (and thinking about it, probably due to the above), once fixed to the frame, the bosses for the brake caliper sit approx 5mm back from where they need to be to allow the caliper to align with the rotor.

I'll try and get a pic over to you to show you what I mean!

Tried mine out, also doesn't fit. Very annoying. With a bit of filing should be ok, but that's not the point now is it.

I didn't bother going that far, plus I was using the spare rear stay not the one on the bike.

If youre completely stuck, ive a nos Hope No2 caliper could be going spare. Also the IS mount No2 equivalent.
