That's not great.

Not at all.

I think about them both often.

No one as important to anything as Charlie is and was to us and our little world should have to struggle like this.

But I suppose that's the brutal, sad, great equalizer of health and humanity. No one is spared.

That said, the man should be a millionaire multiple times over for his contributions to our bikes, components and mindsets. And should at least have a nest egg of epic proportions for his care to fall back on.

Jacque, meanwhile, is just about the raddest, most positive, most awe inspiring person I've ever had the pleasure to be in the same room as.

I wish them both the very best and will continue to contribute what I can, with all fingers and toes crossed.
 
I'm sorry to hear this, and I can relate. I had a bad crash on the way to work at the end of 2016, wound up in the hospital and then countless hours of physio and years of chronic pain. And the 'medical system' here in Canada let me down on all levels. But in spite of it all, I got out yesterday for a road ride.
