I think that looks rather epic......I get why people restore old bikes ...however I get more, people who adapt an old bike to utilise for now. I think it looks great buddy
This is a great example of why 90's mtb frames in particular are so popular today, the quality of the steel and the geometry makes them so adaptable, they are almost closer to some road bikes than to some modern mountain bikes, this build really shows that side of them off, a great way to give an old bike with sentimental value a completely new lease of life.

Thanks guys! These frames really are so robust and are still so useful, just maybe not for what they were originally designed for! Plus I'd rather see it get used than just sitting there to rot.
Have been riding this thing like crazy! Added a Paul chain keeper to it and switched to a 650bx42c Flintridge Pro tire for a little more clearance. Fantastic ride and is great on all surfaces, have it almost perfect at this point. The one thing that I've noticed is that these lower end DBs definitely aren't made super well cause there are some little issues ive noticed since building it. Most noticeable is the seat stays which most certainly aren't centered, I think I'll have to remove the bridge, bend them into place, and braze in a new bridge. Doesn't effect ride but just something that bugs me! In the mean time I'll just keep riding!
