I was tempted to bid on this and start a discussion later if I won, as I love an oddity. However, I have no space for more bikes at the moment. To try to avoid ending up with it, I'll out it for discussion here:

Retro 1992 Diamond Back, sold from a Nottingham dealership as an Axis prototype. The material is alloy, rather than the True Temper steel that was more normal. A very tough frame, it had a 1 1/4 evolution headset, but now adapted for 1 1/8 suspension forks. The bottom bracket is an unusual press-in bearing type, seen on some early Kleins. Bearings are readily available in a standard size. Wheels have bombproof Mavic D521 rims. Disc brake front, caliper rear. Currently runs a 1 x 9 gear setup. A good retro project, or cool ride around bike. Some paint chips expected for age, frame is sound. Might suit a collector. Pick up only please.
