Anyone here familiar with this bike? Google didn't come up with much. I'm not sure about the 3lb weight...that puts it up there with an RM Altitude or similar quality steel hardtail.
Now, I used to sell DB MTBs back in the day and they were considered merely average mass produced stuff and nothing really that special. This listing seems to indicate otherwise. Maybe DB evolved into something fantastic after I stopped working at the LBS????

I'd say the 3lb frame weight is very optimistic (more like 5lb) for a bike that was about $740 with Shimano STX group in 1996 (according to BikePedia)
Think even Columbus Foco can only be built down to a 3.5 lb frame (with rider weight limit too).
