Depth of cassette mount.

Does anyone know if the depth of the cassette mount on a 105 Shimano hub has changed over the years? I am looking at a hub on ebay and wondered if my cassette will fit if it's a later hub.

7 speed is 31mm whereas 8, 9 and 10 is 35mm
