Well, i'm very close to Birmingham and many of my work mates live there......I belive Marinmans comments,

2. work buddies tell me stuff from their area's

WHAAAAT? Police not ticketing migrants? If I had not read these posts correctly I would swear you were talking about Los Angeles, CA.

Standing joke over here is that if you put a latino bumper sticker on your car, you will never get pulled over, ticketed, or towed. Police has a hands off policy due to threat of profiling. LA is a sanctuary city for immigrants(illegals) you know.

Immigrants have a really great health care program. It is called "EMERGENCY ROOM".

I think a one offence and return to sender rule and a ban on return would work pretty well here.

Then we should adopt the Austrailian rules of entry.

Neither rule will discriminate against anyone who is willing to live by the law, work hard and want's to integrate with 'our' culture. It will however keep out the dregs as we have enough of our own to deal with, without getting everyone else's.

Sadly not. Nothing to mention in the way of house prices, the "bin police", H&S-gone-mad, miracle obesity cures or everyday items which are carcinogenic, either.

I think for most immigration isn't the problem..it's just the amount of it

also lets face it, britian is the target of many because we have a social wealthfare system were you don't have to put in to get something out and now the books don't balance

I will say though..when things are good..very few worry about immigration

when things are tight..some..look for a scape goat

the immigrants are here and in large numbers and most do pay tax and national insurance

so it's largely not the immigrants that are the problem...but the british employment agencies, recruitment companies and companies that hire them

get them to play by the rules..then we might have a start
