Retro Newbie
Dekerf Team 1997 (updated - apparently 1994 - see 3rd posting down) (BB shell stamped DEK 243)

I have owned this frame for approximately 5 years. I have used it as a lightweight cross country bike. The paint work has some chips and scratches (esp at the drive side chain stay from some chain suck) however there are no dents/ damage to the frame.

The person I bought the frame from had had it refurbished by Dekerf by changing the cable guides and cantilever bosses to zip tie guides and disc brake mount then re-sprayed.

The frame size is approx 17.5" - 18" (I am 5'11" and the frame fits me perfectly).

Dimensions (approx with hand tape-measure)
Top tube (centre of seat tube to centre of head tube) 22" / 56cm
Seat tube (centre of BB to centre of top tube) 16" / 40.5cm
Seat tube (centre of BB to top of seat tube) 18.5" / 47cm

I would like £320 for the frame however am open to offers (postage £25)

Please get in touch anytime if you have any questions.

I am happy to arrange for you to take a look at the frame and also for collection rather than postage.

It is also listed on ebay if you search under 'Dekerf' where there are also more pictures

DEK 243 would date this as a '94, and therefore best suited to a 65mm (or 415mm) fork. You should be able to get away with 80mm though.
Clunker has a nice Groovy rigid fork that would suit this perfectly...

Thanks for the update on the year! I thought the frame number might mean more to someone else than it did to me.

I ran the frame with a 420mm Pace RC31 and it was great. If you went for the shortest possible 80mm fork it would run best - I had a Magura Durin on it which a couple of years back which was the shortest modern fork I could find at the time and it was a good fit...
