The description is terrible and all over the place. Are the pics of the item that's for sale - who knows? That's not a Generation in the pics though. "Bike was resprayed in 2016 and unused" and apparently still unused! Not sure if it's just the frame and fork, or most of the bike, that is for sale.

Description definitely raises more questions than it answers!

I’d say it’s a 95/96 Team (not SL

Edit - actually it’s earlier. Cable guides on RH side so it’s likely a mountain rather than team

Spot the DeKerf signature stainless steel gusset , and rear cantilever cable mount as others have suggested make it DeKerf Mnt.

Really nice - not my DeKerf size.

'Outstanding' and 'unused' are pushing it. The chunk of paint missing from the bb shell, the wear on the chainring teeth, and the tacky peeling stickers suggest an optimistic and entirely subjective appraisal... that lacks credibility. Screenshot_20251028_212325_DuckDuckGo.webp

It certainly does look like your old frame from your build threads Adrian. The fork brace is a big tell and the damage to the Ritchey Logic decal. What a fall from grace it has suffered!

Is this a 17" or an 18.5"?

Do you think that the finish is still original as you had it or has it really had a respray as the seller suggests? It looks a more matte red in the ebay pics but it could just be the light that the pics were taken in.

This seller had a later Team SL or 853 for sale for absolutely ages with a similar vague description. It is still listed in the completed auction section of ebay.

To me it looks like original paint having recently spent a long time studying Dekerf paint and decals.

It needs to be rescued for sure.

I've closely compared the Ritchey Logic decals and it's 100% my old one. Guessing the paint has just lost its sheen. As you say, some fall from grace. It's a 17" frame
