"What about it?"

What's the difference? Why focus on case one more than the other?
I wasn't aware we were comparing them. Likely the Woolwich one had been on the news that day.

Interesting that you have very strong views re the Woolwich case, but apparently not so worked up over the other case. Why is that? Care to explain?
No. Stop trying to put words in my mouth.

I think you are missing the point it is the ultimate penalty for the ultimate sin 'premeditated murder' simple as

I'm not missing any point. It's not "simple as", and there's far worse sins than killing someone.

Killing someone has to achieve something for it to be worthwhile. Killing someone isn't something you do "just because".

It all comes back to: What does it actually achieve? If you give someone the death penalty that means they're already locked up, and if they're already locked up, they can't get up to anything.
You can't be real.

Some of the things people do in prison where "they can't get up to anything". That was 30secs, I'm sure there's a full list somewhere. Either way, one dead, one disembowelled and one battered.

This one has a video. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scott ... il-2715845 Unfortunately he survived.

They can't kill again if they're dead.

locking people up doesn't stop them killing or having the desire to kill.
some people will never be rehabilitated, no matter how long they are imprisoned.
and such people would be better dead than a threat to any living person.

Assuming a perfect and flawless justice system.

In the 1970's plenty would have had the Birmingham Six executed.

It's piss easy to stop them from killing people. Simply put them where they can't touch other people.

Problem is you don't know in advance. Someone could get better a week after you'd hung them, but since by then they'd be dead you'd have no way of knowing.

Sitting in solitary, reading books and getting your meals slid in through a catflap doesn't exactly give you much way of being a threat.

the lee rigby case is a typical example of how flawed our justice system is.
such people who are clearly guilty of murder, with witnesses & video evidence.
i'd have no problem with such people being executed in a way, similar to their own actions.

there will always be exceptions, even years in solitary can't guarantee a model citizen.

If you join the army and kill people for your wageslip, you shouldn't act surprised when someone kills you for their convictions.
