Just a little update, going 1x9.

Here's the full bike. 34 on the front is perfect, not too high for climbing with a 11-34 cassette.
Maybe a bit much silver for some people, but I like it. The seat post is 27.0mm, so not a whole lot of choice.

Nice bike and nice history :) shows off how timeless Ti can be, looks great in all its guises 8)

Ten years after the rebuild, all I've done is replace the drivetrain with the last 3x9 XT in Australia (probably) & swapped the grips & tyres.

The bike is sweet. Quite the evolution in personal taste for drivetrains. How do you like those wheels? The post dates in this thread are straight ridiculous. Pretty neat to see a bike go so long and be used regularly.

Cheers mate.
The wheels really put the power down when you stand on it, they're that stiff. But the tubeless & Ti make for a smooth ride. Really need a new set as the ceramic has a fair few dings in it now.\

A few more evolutions from the 19 years I've been riding this bike...
