Interestingly, the shimano tl-fc35 4 pin tool has the same spacing as the zero bb remover, although the pins are a little small
... and the hole is smaller than a square taper axle
There were a few changes of plans along the way. Plus life got in the way and I lost inspiration for a bit. I definitely spent a bit too much money on purple anodised bit but I do like the purple accents and it’s my favourite colour.
It ended up being a bit of a British build where possible to compliment the Dawes frame/Pace forks. A few Hope parts, x-lite bars and a Brooks Cambium saddle which I know isn’t made in Britain but I like the look anyway.
I never did get the BB out. I will take it to a workshop when it does finally go but the chainline works and it rides okay. The canti brakes were fiddly to set up but I fitted the headset myself with no problems (never done one before). Been for a quick test ride and it fits me well and handles really well. I never had a nice lightweight steel bike before. Looking forward to riding this Epping Forest and beyond. Will post a build list later.
