Retro Newbie
Looking for a new home is this unusual late 1980s (?) Dawes mountain bike, which I made up from a frame and components, and has been modified since!
Frame is in original lurid green and pink, with expected flaking decals and some rust blisters but nothing serious. Frame is Reynolds 500 "All terrain tubing", forks are Reynolds 531 with a generous rake that soaks up the bumps. Wheels are Shimano 105 small flange hubs with Mavic Oxygen M6 rims, unused Crossroads 26x1.95 tyres. Stronglight 48/38/28 triple chainset, Shimano Deore front and rear 6 speed SIS thumb shifters, 14-28 cluster. Shimano V-brakes
Horizontal top tube (23in/58.5cm centre-to-centre), seat tube is 21in (53.5cm) to centre of bottom bracket.
Could make an interesting restoration project?
I need the space so make me a silly low offer and it's yours - I'm more interested in it going to someone who can use it (or the parts) rather than scrapping it.
Bike is in west London, just at the end of the M4.
