I have a Brooks Professional S (which I think is a ladies model), which has '4G9' stamped into the leather, and only 'made in england' stamped onto the frame. It's honey with hammered copper rivets and the nose adjust bit seems to be copper (or copper plated). The logo stamped on the side isn't oval, nor is it the modern one... it looks a bit like the modern one but turned upside down!
