CX mech swap question 2009 Kona Jake Quick answer please?

Hi, quick one. If i swap a tiagra 9sp rear mech for an XT 9sp to give me more room as i've put an 11/32 on the CX would there be any issues with the throw/spacing or will it all be the same once adjusted?

yep, should be fine. I have the same mech that you are replacing and it only does 30 as the biggest at the back. As the frog says make sure you give it enough chain. what you running up front?

I'm guessing you have to be quite careful with little cog to little ring up front?

I never go little little or big big. I go big big when fitting chain and stretch mech forward as a guide to length. Presuming that current thinking as it's the way i always did it in my yoof?
