Ironically, I've still not taken delivery of this - I got doored on my way home recently and I'm off the bike for another couple of days. As you can imagine, I'm really looking forward to riding it.

It's almost complete in the photos, the only thing remaining to do is install the wiring loom for the light setup (SuperNova E3 F&R) - all the wiring will be internally routed, and you can see the mounting hole on the front of the stem and the plate on the rack to accept the lights themselves.

I'd seen that review of Mather in C+ last year - yours is even finer! I hear that he has a two year waiting list, but it's already closed as he wants to go and ride his bike a bit.

I am really jealous. That is a gorgeous machine.

He's based in a small village about a dozen miles North-East of Bath, England. He originally apprenticed with Dave Yates, and has been building since 1992.

As hamster says, he's got an 18 month waiting list, and he's planning a 3-4 month cycle tour after that, so no more orders for a couple of years.

The bike reviewed by C+ was Robin's own - built for function. I'm just a tart so I got lots of frilly bits on mine

BTW are those Mafac-style Pauls brakes still made? What a lovely solution which avoids having to go anywhere near the (admittedly good) deep-drop brakes from the fishing tackle people.

Mafac brakes can be found quite easily in france . nos as well .
