Custom Retro Raleigh Road Bike

Well well well the retro bike thought police are at it again. What a fantastic welcome to the forum, personally I dont mind what you have done to your bike its your money and its your choice dont be put off by the negative comments of certain members who don't agree with you
and what you've built, I totally agree with you that people should not be rude and need to grow up but they are not tools because tools are useful

C'mon guys, take a breath.
Common sense is good for sure, its just not that common
Theres certainly no need for any sort of personal attack on fellow members.
The bike may be expensive for what it is, but thats certainly not the first time I've ever seen that on this forum. High end and low end machines are often grossly overpriced but its no need to resort to personal attacks, I also think its not a need to get all eletist or stuck up about it either. Explaining the issue and giving advice is easier and more constructive than just ripping someone apart.
My five cents worth, thats all.

Common sense at last, constructive comments and explanation are much more encouraging than a barrage of criticism. After all this person is a newbie and there's nothing more off putting than having something you've built being pulled apart by fellow members. As I said in my original post what a welcome to the retro bike movement, we are all proud of the bikes we have and I'm sure I have bikes in my collection that would not be to everyone's taste, but thats what makes this hobby so fascinating, let's all calm down and go for a long ride on our bikes

I've got man flu.

They are all eye catching photo's, what can I say
My mother in law has one like the first one, don't know whether she parks it on the wall though
As for Triggers Broom well, words just can't describe the feelings 8)

Jamie

Please keep comments constructive and show some empathy. Someone has put their hard earned cash into what they believe to be a great build, it's hard to hear that it's not to everyones liking. Thanks

I think the last broom shows that some of us build for love not money. Or taste.

And with the aid of prescription medication.

Still want a pic of the OP's creation.
