Curve and Kona?

Was the brand ‘Curve’ somehow related to Kona (is in OEM parts)?

In Curve's dying years Kona decided to use them to do their OEM cranks and Brakes.

The cranks looked lovely but most of them broke, (soft metal on the tapers) but the brakes were cool but then everything went V-Brake so people swapped them out and lost all the fiddly mounting components in their sheds and toolboxes.
